Made from Limoges porcelain, sourced directly from France, the pigment in every MUD product is tinted through the porcelain body to provide colour-depth. Clear glaze is then hand brushed to the interior of each piece leaving the exterior with a vitrified stone-like surface that becomes smooth with handling.
Mud’s original dinner plate is a generous size with a lip around the rim. Designed with feedback from top Australian chefs, this plate is highly complementary with the salad plate and the pebble bowl series.
All mud australia is hand-made in their Sydney studio, Australia. Irregularities in size, glaze & texture, reflect the many human touches received during the making process and should be embraced.
Mud Australia considers Slate, Plum, Red, Orange and Ink pieces as ‘premium’ colours, and are thus priced accordingly.
